So this is more of a beginner question as I just set up my first sump earlier this week. Everything has been great, using an Eshopps HOB overflow and made a stockman standpipe to quiet it down and it worked wonders. The issue is more at the sump itself, the water comes down the soft tubing to a barb fitting on the bulk head, then into a short piece of pvc to have it under the water level. But it is still quite loud, lots of gurgling and bubbles. Is this because of the standpipe? Is troubleshooting it going to help with the sump noise? Or is the noise because I need to add a gate valve or some sort of reducer to fill the pipe up? Or is it that my pump isn't pushing enough water?
Its a very simple set up, the overflow has a full siphon through the u tube, the stand pipe is really quiet, I used 3/4 inch vinyl tubing to the sump and then 1/2 from the pump (sicce syncra silent 1.5)
