Hey all, so i have a rainbow monti I got back in July as a half inch speck of a frag. It grew out decently nice over the past 6 months or so, but about 2 months ago I went thru a pretty nasty salinity swing (31 ppt to 38ppt, to 35ppt) in the span of two weeks, followed by an alkalinity swing. (Not much, 1.5dkh, but it’s trident controlled, so it’s usually very stable thru the day)

the Monti’s polyps pulled in and have never come back out. My other montis and my acropora were completely fine… everything was (mixed tank) just not this one monti.

is there any hope for this guy? 2 months, no polyp movement at all, no visible growth or anything. Im not even sure if this thing is alive anymore.

alk is 8.4
Calc is 420
Mag is 1375
Nitrate is 5
Phos is .1

The tank has been at these parameters for a good 10 months aside from the swing.

I fine monti's can be finicky. I have ones that lost it all, right next to ones that are fine. I have had some come back after 2 or 3 years.
