Surf2x Progress assistance

Hi, I setup my Surf2x 9 days ago, checking for growth every other day. Lights are half covered with the black cloth with a 13-on/11-off schedule.

This is a new tank setup at the end of April and I’m currently feeding approximately 1 cube a day.

Today I noticed my first amount of growth so I have some questions. Oddly, the majority (top half) of it is under the section covered by the black cloth.

Is this slime or hair algae? Should I let this grown in some more or go ahead and scrub it? At what point should I remove the cloth?

Since the growth is under the shade, that says that it does not want too much light. So let it continue this way and see how it fill in another week.
