Sadly I woke up to a couple leaks in the tank that I just purchased second hand. Luckily the person I purchased it from is willing to take it back and refund me my money for the tank, not the other equipment obviously. So this brings up a whole new problem....
I'm going to grab a 40B today. Heading out in just a few minutes. I have one Fluval Marine/Reef LED 36" light that is 1st generation so must be about 4 years old now. I need it until something else comes in sadly otherwise I would return it to the person I purchased everything else from. Anyways: I'm looking for a set that maybe has access to an app for when I'm not at home or at the very least has two plugs (one for blues and one for whites??) I'd like to spend under $200 - is this possible? Any suggestions? If I do stay with the Fluval would I need more than one for the 40B? I plan on doing softies, Euphillias(sp?), some zoas, maybe eventually an anemone.
Thanks folks!

I'm no lighting expert but I don't believe those Fluval lights are particularly strong. You can pick up a used black box for around $50-75. Separate plugs for white and Blues and much more powerful. Would be fine for a 40b tank. Skimmer any better today?

Skimmer is being a jerk in the new setup but I'm watching it closely! They didnt have any glass tops at Petco for a 40B so I grabbed one for a 75B thinking it would be fine....I was wrong. And guess where isnt taking returns now LOL bye bye $50!

Anyways: what is a black box? Is that like a chinese light? Like a "reefbreeders"?
