Swim bladder issues

Hi guys
My purple tang has been swimming funny for the last week, I suspect an internal bacterial infection that’s causing the issues.

He has been moved into a smaller box to help him, he’s been eating for the last week.

Looking for ideas on my diagnosis and potential treatment

Can be gas embolism, infection but let’s start with pics and even a you tube video to determine what you’re seeing
Is fish breathing normal or labored?

Sorry I thought I had a video attached last time. I’ll attach one now.
As for the fish he is breathing quite heavily at the moment but is still eating.

Unfortunately hard to see with reflection but there is evidence of tail nipping and aggression and fish appears moribund in which it may not eat or swim normal going forward. There nothing I can suggest to perk it up

The very first thing you want to do is make sure your water parameters are pristine. Now this may not resolve the problem in your situation but at least you can rule out water as being a cause.

Tough to tell in the video, but it looks like maybe the tang has a bump on its left side and it is positively buoyant. That indicates some sort of issue with trapped gas in the abdomen. The "bump" could also be that the fish is just really thin, and those are its ribs...

How long have you had the fish?
Did it stop eating once the swimming issue began?
