Hey! I have about 2 months before I have to change my Ati t5 bulbs. Currently I and running 4 actinic bulbs. I want to swap them out for coral blue bulbs. Should I do 2 at a time or would swapping all 4 be an issue?

I’m trying to not have any negative effects on my corals.
Thanks!

This supplemental lighting i assume. How many bulbs total are you running? The blue plus are going to put out a significantly higher par then those actinic bulbs. And the look is going to be completely different also.

Wait do you mean the zoo med actinic bulbs?
No the ati t5 actinic bulbs are what I’m running right now I have 4 total and yes i run xr30 a for my main lighting. Maybe I’ll swap 1 on each side n check par n if no sognificant change I’ll swap the other two maybe wait two weeks between

ATI makes Blue Plus or Coral Plus bulbs. Which one are you talking about?

I’m sorry the blue plus

They will look different than the actinic but PAR is actually reasonably close between the two. I’d have to dig up the link for that

I would switch out two at a time personally

Yea that shows the Actinic to be like 40% less par than other bulbs.
One catch is it used the "old" Apogee which had a sensitivity loss in the blue range and the actinic is like pure blue..
"Original" in this image:

This thread also has the actinic "under-performing"
ATI-Giesemann-Table-1.jpg

Likely much more accurate than the first link..
369 vs 422 actinic vs blue plus (another mostly blue bulb)
14.4%
