T5 bulb combination

I know allot of people task about their bulb combinations and usually it comes down to how you like it to look. However I did want to ask this question. I currently run 4 blue plus. 1 actinic. And 1 coral plus. If I was to replace the coral plus with a purple plus to give a little more blue look would I still got the correct color waves for coral to utilize. Is there anything in the coral plus that I would not hey out of the others

The only difference I see is the purple one has a higher red spectrum. Coral plus has more in the green spectrum. That's for the ati bulbs from the brs website

In terms of coral health very little difference, many people run either purple or coral, or both, really just depends on the color temperature you want to look at. The tank will look warmer with a purple instead of a coral, if I only had one I would use purple, but I use both in an eight bulb fixture.

I agree, I use Aqua Blue Special as well in an 8 bulb setup.

Thanks guys. I like the blue look I have going now but during the day with the coral plus running I don't care for it as much. So I think I may pull the coral plus out and add a purple plus. If I don't like it I may add another actinic
