I currently have led on my tank and im thinking about converting to a hybrid t5 led combo. My tank is small, 24 gallon nuvo with only 36" across and about 9" wide of main display. I fell in love with a floating canopy I saw on YouTube and thinking about recreating it. Here's is my concerns, since it's such a small width on the tank, is it fine with just 1 t5 bulb or make it 2? And if the canopy has a fairly large opening on top, do I still need fans for the T5?

Think if its fairly open and limited in the number of bulbs you should be fine. Good luck on the build and make sure to post pics and specs for others to use.
I sure will, thank you very much for the reply

Does anyone know if it's safer to put the t5 in a stainless steel/aluminum housing to disperse the heat so I can avoid a fan and then mount that in the canopy?
