My tank still has some diatoms in the sand but is lit by a 12 bulb sfilgoi T5 fixture.

BTW the bleached acans are from my son's tank, his chiller pump stopped working and all the acans in his tank either died or bleached.

Thanks for the compliments. My light about 5 inchs from the water although I could rest it right above the eurobracing if I wanted to. The tank is 4' x 3' x 2' and if I have the fixture to close to the water the spread isnt as good and its a pain to get my arm in there to work with out moving the fixture up, which is heavy. SO I have been leaving it 4 or 5 inchs above the eurobracing.
