Seems my tailspot blenny has gone missing. He has been in the tank well over a year and no fish in the tank every bothered him. He was healthy and eating yesterday and swimming normal but totally gone today. I have a top on the tank so no carpet surfing. I have a lot of rocks and caves so he could be anywhere. He always slept on top of the rocks though or in the top corner of the back glass. He always pecked on the rocks for an algae snack. He was small maybe 3 inches. Wonder if my big elegance got him? I'm really bummed. He was a cool little fish.

They slide reverse into the smallest holes.
I had one that hitchhiked in a rock i moved from 1 tank to another.
I think hes there somewhere.
He's very regular with swimming around all day. Never misses feeding. Unless he's stuck in a hole I guess.

Check sump and overflow box. They are generally active and dont hide much

My tail spot went Mia about week ago also, one off first fish in tank 18 months ago.day before last seen was on bottom off tank on a rock on sand but still eating when fed tank but stayed on bottom to grab food which never ever done.
I know when put bi colour blennie in after him,he chased that bi colour blennie for few days relentlessly then they got on fine but noticed slowly the bi colour chasing him,so I'm guessing that's where mine went, but unsure.
Shame about your blennie as very cool fish and always active and look strange when eating ha ha

Well I'm super excited to report that Mr. Tailspot has made a return appearance this morning. He seems to be swimming ok but his stomach appears bloated. Is he constipated? What would be a prudent course of action for him? He's obviously not in perfect health and stayed in bed somewhere the last 24 hours.

Glad you found him! A pic might also be helpful for others like me with a TSB, both for diagnosing and for info on what to look out for. Hope he gets back to normal!
Hard to get a clear one

Well im sure the little guy is sick. I hope he is just resting comfortably and getting better. Have not seen him again all day and he did not come out for afternoon feeding.

Well guys I have good news and bad news to share today. The good news is my blenny looks much better today and back to his normal behavior. He no longer has a bloated belly either. The bad news is that my belly is still bloated with no cure in sight. Oh well, at least my fish buddy is ok....thanks for the help.

Good and bad news eh. Blenny good. Belly no good. I can relate lol
I just saw on the news that corn dogs may lower your life expectancy. I've eaten like 20 this week. Wish I would get this news a little earlier before I'm standing in line at Hotdog on a Stick.
