I have a 530g tank and want to try a tang harem tank.
What would be your tang?

No good answer unfortunately. Until a few weeks ago the obvious answer would have been a group of yellows. That’s now cost prohibitive. Scopas would be an option, though I personally find them rather drab. A couple of folks have tried a group of convict, largely without success. They’re tough to acclimate and usually come in emaciated. Group of Hepatus would be cool. Don’t recall anyone having tried that.
This is true I tried to convince ya thoughBeauty is in the eye of the beholder. That’s why I said that I personally find them drab. It’s the only zebrasoma species I don’t have.
Confess I have thought about getting one to complete the ‘set’. Surely I could squeeze in one more ......This is true I tried to convince ya though

Although it is harder to find captive bred with the spike in demand, multiple yellow tangs would be cool if you could get them to shoal. They may stick together if it's a long tank. It's really cool when they do. You'll also have less issues if they come from the same batch captive bred. They're had to come by and cost, but hopefully at some point the demand continues more mass breeding. The newer captive breeds have been looking much nicer then earlier release.I have a 530g tank and want to try a tang harem tank.

You’re not helping ...... I’ve already got to add another tank to my system to house a few tangs that won’t ‘fit’ in the 450. Not so much space as homicidal tenants.
