My tang has been in copper for about 6 days thinking he had ich.. for the last few days he has looked like this. Not sure what is coming off the side of him? Please advise
The heavy blue picture is before we put him in copper power..

Hi, I can’t see a picture attached.
What copper are you using and what is the dose?

Theres no ic. Please post under white lighting. A video of at least 20 seconds also helpful with assessment

I have attached the photos now
Ouch may be flukes.
Best way to determin is freshwater dip. Taking a saltwater fish out of saltwater and placing it in freshwater will put the fish under a certain amount of stress, so keep an eye on the fish for signs of extreme stress (laying on the bottom of the treatment container and gilling rapidly). Agitating the treatment water will help to keep the fish moving around and reduce stress.

What You Need:
  • CLEAN plastic container large enough to comfortably hold the fish to be treated
  • Fresh water (filtered or dechlorinated)
a- Fill a plastic container with an appropriate source of fresh water
b - To prevent unnecessary shock and stress, try to match the temperature of the freshwater to that of the water from the fish's saltwater aquarium.
c - For the best results fish should remain in the freshwater for a duration of three to five minutes. If any fish is showing signs of undue stress after a 3-4 mins, remove it.

Look on bottom of continer after returning fish to display tank and see if you see what looks like fish scales or sesame seeds. Those are flukes

Was this right after the dip? The fish is breathing pretty fast. What level of copper are you at?

I agree, this could be mucus, but you won't see rapid breathing with that.

I would keep the fish in full copper, 2 or better yet 2.5ppm
