Thanks for your time and help.
like I said the tank is going thru a diatom bloom and he has been eating the heck out of it. Since diatoms have a silica shell would this be hard on his digestive track and maybe just needs a little time. I guess this is what I hope anyway
Thanks All

I regret to inform you that your fellow Reef keeper had his first casualty. The air stone added a lot of air to the water how ever now I am worried about the rest of my Tank.
After thinking on this overnight and losing a bit of sleep, am leaning towards a diagnosis that I did too much on the water change for being such a new tank. I vacuumed the whole sand bed and was a bit aggressive on the rock to get rid of as much diatom as possible. I believe I thru my biological filter back quite a few steps. My tank is still a bit cloudy however the all inhabitants, fish and coral seam to be doing great. I had my wife go and buy a bottle of Prime and is dosing 3 capfuls every 24 hours in hopes that the bio filter will catch back up on my AIO 40g. Or until I can get home to start another water change regime on Thursday.
Does this sound acceptable or am I way off the mark here? Any input or suggestions would be appreciated.
I am really saddened by the loss. Not so much the $65 as my ignorance in causing it's death. All I can do is commit to do better.
Thanks
