Would having a Tang or two (Cthenochaetus and Zebrasoma) and a Foxface be a good trio for a new tank? Mostly because they’re algae eaters. Some people say they need tanks with algae but others say they do just fine in new tanks and I see plenty of people starting out with them.

How effective are they at cleaning up algae? They eat lots of it but also poop a lot.

If your feeding tangs and rabbits in a new tank, there will soon be algae for them to munch on. You can supplement with Nori anyway.

That’s my plan. I will have nori strips as well as the following herbivore foods:

-Formula 2 Flakes and Pellets
-Spirulina Flakes
-Seaweed Extreme
-Algae Wafers
-Spirulina Brine Shrimp

Masstick if I can get my hands on any from Europe.

You'll be fine if you feed them nori on a clip for them to graze throughout the day and feed them quality flake/pellets once or twice a day in addition.
