Thank you. Hard to believe this thread has her in your arms as a baby and by your side as a teen or pre-teen. Does she still help you steer the boat?

no, i sold the boat. she is 13 now i think and is more interested in make up, music and acting n plays.

this is a year old. greta is in the center

Grankids are the best!
Do you still go out on a friends boat to collect mud?

atoll, no antibiotics. they gave me a bunch in the hospital. i can move my arm from my elbow but my shoulder doesnt move much so i cant drive or type much. 😬

my wife cant drive either so we are stuck here. neighbors and friends have been bringing us food, and one will drive me to my surgeon wednesday to remove the bandages.

my closest frend next door is away for a week and another close friend is n europe. i have to type with one finger on my left hand so no caps .

how are you doing. still in the hospital. are you still in pain.
😎

I ended up in A&E that's the hospital emergency departments in the UK. I had antibiotics on a drip and something else on a drip for 6 hours. I went in Thursday at 10-30pm. They let me home with 2 weeks worth of antibiotics tablets at 8-25am on the Friday. Am tired and everything tastes either metallic or salty. I still have a stinging sensation in the end if my you know what when I go the toilet. Still we soldier on.
I went out today to the Post Office an LFS and had my haircut. I think the haircut was a step a bit far. Some guy was in the chair in my barbers for 3/4 of an hour having all manner of girly stuff including a shave. These young guys like to pamper themselves like a flamingo. I have been shaving myself since I was 17. I don't need no fancy barber to have a shave. The sheer thought of it 😆

i shave using a bar of old fashioned soap. no lilac or petunia scents because im a man. i also like to smell like a man, clean, slightly musty with a hint of greasy cro bar. 😎

you are correct ,way too many girly men out there. be a man and let that hair grow where it is supposed to.

we didnt ave any of those girly men in vietnam

I have this very cool macroalgae growing in my tank... i don't know where it came from, probably the sea behind my house. it is probably invasive and will cover my entire tank, but so far I like
macro.jpg
it, so it stays.

Paul,
When convenient, would you show that under white light.

I am jealous that you have pods, grass shrimps and ornamental macro algae in your backyard. I hope this post finds you home & well.

hey Sub. just open your eyes wider. thats the only light i have and at this point. i can only use my left arm so any maneuvering of a camera or light cant happen yet.

i am going to my surgeon now to remove the bandage and see if he in-advertantly
left a hack saw blade or sawzall in my shoulder. 😬

I hear watches and rings are a big thing to leave behind. Hopefully he left you a Rolex!

and you dont want to know how far they go with shaving either

i dont wear any watches or rings and if someone gave me a Rolex i would give it away for a couple of reasons. First, it is a Swiss company and I don't buy anything not American if I could, and second, a $2 Timex keeps the same time for $10,000.00 less. i never do anything just to impress anyone which is also why i have 2 jeeps and no porches, MGs or any other non American car.

i also dont have many tangs, angels or sps. been there and done that and its not a big deal.

my tank is far from the nicest tank on here and it will never be. i like it like it is. 😎

i can only imagine 😱

So the surgeon removed my bandage, and my arm didn't fall off. he said there was much more arthritis in there than the X-ray showed, and my rotator cuff didn't have any more rotations left in it, as it looked like it had an argument with a chainsaw and lost. 😬

But that's what happens to real men if we live long enough. If you didn't tear that 5 or 10 times, you didn't do enough in your life or have enough fun. 😎

Same. But if it where a Rolex I'd sell it for half the going price just to get rid of it and have something to show for it. I see this is a moot point anyway as there was no prize in the bottom of your crackerjack box. Hope you are healing up well!

Thats a great photo Paul. I guess thats Greta 11 or 12 years ago. What a great moment to remember!

I came into my man cave to feed my fish, and it sounded like Niagara Falls. water splashing all over the place like I had a manta ray with ich.

it was my diy algae scrubber. The mesh came out from the tube that supplies the water to it, so the water was falling unrestricted, right into the tank.

I don't remember how old the mesh is, but it is over 10 years old, and plastic tends to become brittle over time. It has 2 holes in it that stainless steel screws go into to hold it in place.

i sewed up the rip in the holes with fishing line but i need two hands to get it back on the tank so i had to call my neighbor because i wont have the use of my right arm for a few more weeks.

Of course, I could change the mesh, but it takes years to get the thing to grow algae like I want.
