I haven't seen this guy eat in a couple of weeks. Mostly because he is so slow that any food I put near him, gets taken by the filefish and hippo tang.

But all of a sudden he is hungry again so I cut up a 3" earthworm and put them near his nose. I had to keep pushing away the other fish but he ate most of the worm with gusto. He's very slow and I don't know how those things live in the sea but I guess they do.

I know when he is hungry because he stays in the back for a week or two. But when he is hungry, he comes to the front glass and makes faces at me.

He has to stare at the food for like a minute while contemplating the universe like the other fish are going to allow a wriggling worm to sit there until he decides to move.

Its funny how people say we are anthropomorphizing these animals. I think there is more going on in those tiny heads than we give them credit for.

My copperband was like that. Now he competes better with the other fish. I have to broadcast food or drop an open mussel which he is picking at before it hits the sand.

Beautiful fish!

I am having severe issues this morning, just before we are going away for Christmas. My wife's Trigeminal Neuralgia came back so she can't speak or eat and is in terrible pain. I have been trying to get her pain Mgt Doctor to give her a shot but f course no one answers the phone.

She is scheduled for Gamma Knife for this but that won't be until after the holidays. ☹️

I am truly sorry to learn this, Paul.

From this distance all I can offer is sending healing and peaceful energy.

Thanks Crusso. I got her an appointment this afternoon; she is in the office 2 hours away, so I hope the Christmas traffic doesn't screw it up.

Thanks Guys. She had 3 shots in her face and was in a lot of pain last night as it takes a day or so for the shots to work. They are a temporary fix until we can get an appointment for Gamma Knife.

She had that once years ago and it lasted 3 years. It's not painful but the shots are and they left a big lump in her face that I hope is down now.

I don't know how she feels yet today.

Not yet, but I am praying today she will start to feel some relief.
Good luck. 👍
Merry Christmas to you and your wife Paul.

Looks like you get some sun today! Hope you had a good walk. We have been mired in rain for weeks and looks like we have another week of rain to look forward to. The weather we usually have this time of year isnt dropping into the us until the great lakes area. Merry Christmas again to your family Paul. I hope Dale wakes(woke) up feeling better today.
