Tank cycling

Hello everyone. I had a question regarding the cycling of a tank. Would I be safe in taking everything out of an established tank and transferring everything into another tank including the water or do you need the bacteria that is in the filters as well? Thanks for any posts.

I would think you would be ok. When I got my set up it was already established. Drained tank took out fish and rock and put into Rubbermaid bins to move. We left he sand in the tank and moved it that way. Put the rock back in used about 85 percent old water and had no issues. Not sure about disturbing the sand bed though. I'm sure someone much smarter will have a better answer for you though
