I am currently running 2 prime sol led lights on my 55 gallon tank. I have them 8 inches off the water as of right now and was wondering if that was ok or do they need to be closer, if so how close? Currently have zoas for the most part but want to try some other corals down the road. Everything is opened up and looks happy and healthy but it never hurts to ask questions haha. Thanks in advance for any advice given

The height sounds perfect. You might want to check PAR someday, but if your corals are doing well then likely lighting is just right.

When I first set up my 55 gallon I also put two ai primes. I was not seeing a whole lot of growth on any of my corals so I rented a par meter. Let’s just say it was not enough! So I switched to a sunpower.
