I am pondering a new tank to go in the new house we are buying. The house is not large and has a corner that looks like this:

I want to put a tank there. I'm guessing it's 2 feet by 3 feet, but have asked the current owners for how it measures.

My current options are innovative marine, red sea, waterbox, Fiji cube, and aqua forest. All of them have tanks roughly the same footprint. I can also have glass cages make one for about the same price, if I want to make the stand myself.

Here's my question why should I, or should not go with a manufacturer over another?

Problem there is the location. way too much natural light is going to hit one side of the tank.

It would be far better on the wall between the two arches.
Thought about that but don't want it to stick to get into the room.
Best option is 10 foot tank where the picture is and take the TV wall down back as far as possible, roughly mid tv.

But that's a much larger ask that I don't have enough credit for yet.

I'll say this too - I have a 6 footer, and dealing with issues is quite time consuming. IE dinos. I'm having to move all items in the sand to one side of the tank to vacuum sand, then the other. Gonna look in to this UV sweeper gizmo soon.

I do believe I'd love a 10 footer, but it would have to wrap around a wall in my house!

The sun won’t be an issue. Use it to your advantage for free light. The best light we can give our tanks!

I would pick Innovative Marine on the list of pre made stuff. I’d pick Glasscages over them all. Get EXACTLY what you want and what fits the area perfectly.

My last 5 footer was nice, but always seemed empty. With 10, probably all the more. Probably doable in my retirement if the tariffs don't end the hobby.
