A while back a fellow reefer had bought a role of screen to keep in the jumpers any one remember who this was.

Not sure. I used a screen frame kit from Home Depot (approx. $10) and then went to a fabric store and used Tulle ($2 per yd). Screen lids to under $15.

I use egg crate as well. It's actually called light diffuser at HD or Lowes. Keep in mind that it will block a little bit of light because of its depth. But the structure is good especially if you have kids or other animals in keeping things out too.

Use the mirrored finished Diffuser.

We use 1/4" clear mesh as many fish can (and will) slip thru 1/2" egg crate and it's effect on light is minimal.

I can't say I've seen this around...the white is definitely easier to find.

I agree w/ this. I have heard smaller fish jumping out of 1/2" openings. They have to be super lucky so weigh your fish choices carefully.

I made mine with the netting from BRS and some window screen kits. I think it looks much nicer than any egg crate cover I've ever seen.
