When I transfer my live rock it will be going in large rubbermaid bins with the inverts until the 100g is put up and plumbed.

Should I dedicate a large bucket for the fish or should the fish get placed into the bin that has the LR and other inverts?? I'm thinking own bucket with a piece of LR for less stress to them.

Also- is everyone ok with using the non-hardening pvc thread sealant from home depot?

I would keep the fish with the rocks so they have places to hide, thereby reducing stress. Make sure you have water movement and heat in the tub as well.

Can't opine on the PVC pipe sealer specifically, but if it's not touching your water, like with PVC cement, I imagine it is fine, especially if allowed to cure before use.

Maybe in the IMMEDIATE transfer, or if it's from one location to another, I did rock separate from fish when I was moving a tank an hour away so the rock didn't fall on them... I did give them pvc tubes to hide in, they were only in this location for a couple of hours.

Otherwise yea, you're setting up a temporary tank :D
