I've been around here for a long time and figured its time to share my setup since Im often in this forum oogling other's aquariums.

I've tried just about every method of keeping SPS tanks but always seem to fall back on simplicity. I run T5w, a skimmer and dosing pumps. No reactors, no refugium, no chemicals. I've recently seen a few people complaining about a certain salt that I also use and have been ok with for a while. I have noticed dull colors on a lot of my montipora which is what others have been reporting. I decided to go back to Tropic Marin Pro-reef as I loved it last time I used it years ago.

I'll be posting a mix of photos from imgur and instagram.

I run t5 6bulb skimmer and dose ca alk trace by hand at the moment.
Dose nitrate and phosphate to keep levels at 0-2 no3
And 0-.05 po4.
Also is a no water change system.
Have a ca reactor when demand is needed.
No fuge.

Awesome looks like we are running very similar setups. I’ve been doing more consistent water changes recently since adding my trigger but used to do them every few months.

any pics of your setup?

I've switched my bulb combo up a bit with 4 Blue Plus and 4 Coral Plus. I also added a 3rd gen orphek bar in the uv/actinic layout. They dont normally offer these anymore but can do it if you ask.

I also took my nopox dosing offline to replace it with Rowaphos and my refugium. I've heard mixed opinions of carbon dosing in sps tanks and wanted to see if there is any difference I can notice when keeping nutrients at the same numbers.

Tank has been doing pretty good the last few months.
