I am presently running 76 for my chiller setting. It goes up a bit from there. Before I had a chiller normal temp was 82. Fish can survive in that range, but in the end it effect the life span of animals in my tank. I was probably drifting over 82 as well though. Staying under 80 has been better for the health of my fish in the long term. Have a small tank so I am not as temperature stable as a larger tank will be. So i have a significant daily swing in tank temp.
