I did the pico too, shame the thread is gone. Maybe we should start a collaborative group thread?

I liked the pins & squish method (in the acrylic thread Lowell Lemon linked), I think it's easier and more forgiving. I also like applying with syringe + needle instead of squeeze bottle + needle.

Not sure which of the DIYs you'retalking about but for pico, I think general order was dryfit, tape panels, do back-side1, back-side2, side1-front, side2-front so all 'walls' done.

Double check AIO assembly fits, weld AIO assembly together but don't weld to tank yet.

then weld eurobrace, when set put in AIO insert. I think doing AIO-sidewalls is OK at this point (listen to pros not me) but I was worried about misalignng so I dryfit inside at this point.

Then bottom to walls and done. Since I dry-fit AIO after I leak checked I actually welded that assembly in later.

I am sad they went out of business. I was eyeing a stand they sold for my small aquarium but I didn't want to pay $100 shipping on a $220 stand. Maybe I'll find it on ebay soon.

I still have the pico tank with the sump I never assembled. Does anyone have the setup guide still?

Better hurry up and get your weldon 4, EPA is banning it. Note to self, get a gallon or two
Make your own it’s easy.. 90% methylene chloride and 10% acetic acid.

The very first diy they had like 2 years ago? The tank that sat on top of the sump?
Yes it was like a 6 gallon I believe. I’m trying to put mine together.

I don't have the tank anymore but I searched my images. If I recall, I did do something wrong because the included filter rack didn't fit right. I put my corner overflow in wrong somehow. Hopefully these help somehow

Like, WOW! I hadn't realized the entire thread was deleted. Crazy.

Here are some pics I took when building mine:

Your glue joints would have came out much cleaner and stronger by gluing it up flat on a table with 90° angle clamped to it. You can’t soak a joint for a good bond holding the acrylic at an angle like that! Note that for future use!
It was a fun project and yes, I learned a few things along the way. Last time I assembled something acrylic was 30 years ago when I built my first wet dry filter! Needless to say I was a bit rusty. I also didn't do a good job of measuring the panels and ended up assembling them incorrectly. I had to remove one or two panels and reassemble. Can you tell when I first noticed? Yep, when it was time to attach the bottom plate.

Any pictures fully assembled?
Just got my Pico Frag up and running. Originally was going with the whole sump system but life happened along with a cross country move where the sump got smashed. I had a plan...

Fast Forward: Abandoned the full sump system for this mobile unit that can put on a shelf or desk top.
Originally thought of using a small HOB with the intake tube inside the overflow box but it looked bulky.
Plan B: Simple Rock Flower, Zoa tank that I feel doesn't need all the sump / bells and whistles.
- Covered the holes in in the bottom of the overflow with silicone and a piece of acrylic.
- Made a U for the return up and over the back and plumbed across back over to return bulkhead.
- Cut a notch in the corner of the lid for the U pipe.
- Quick custom media basket out of plastic mesh.
Off and running...

Cycling for 2-weeks and been playing around with which light system to go with.

Looks fantastic. I dug mine out of storage, turned it into an freshwater shrimp paludarium as holiday project. similar setup, no 'downstairs'. I think it looks better with how shallow these are. Awesome little tanks.

Who else has these running?
