Hi youtube video coming shortly but while it's loading and I've had sps frag in dip and now dipping again thought I'd ask .
I got 2 x 2 banded tentacles coming out what looks like where one of polyps should be so I'm thinking got 2 worms living in there and as never seen nor heard of this thought I'd ask .

Here first video uploaded .its not the best.gpt another uploading on YouTube but be a bit yet till can share though.
@Tamberav I see you in a thread about acro burrowing worms I share above.so only way you could get rid was cut off the nub/ branch of the sps where the worm was correct ?
Question is does that branch fully die or recover and how long / big are these worms inside the sps as my green slimer these 2 whatever they are ,are in is small frag at 1.5- 2 inch tall by 1.5 inch wide and about 9 nubs growing off main body of green slimer .
So best course of action?
I had to put it in dt and on rockwork as no coral qt.i only got fish qt that always running but light and flow are rubbish so would probably die in there anyway

Well yeah I dipped 2 times and second time upped the dose and for little longer but as said in thread I shared the worm ( if it is what I got) lives inside the coral so a dip won't do much so I'm guessing need cut the nub off where these worms are.
But yeah pests pests pests it seems ha ha .both wonderful and scary at same time .
If I rang lfs up they probably say bring back and swap for another but unfortunately lfs shut till Monday now so in dt it went .
And to think I've spent maybe 1000 hours of research over the years and it told me to qt all fish and qt all corals but never ended up getting a qt for corals smh lol

Looks like spinoid worm and in the still photo I saw a possible hydroid.
If this were my tank, i'd take the simple route and place a small dab of gel superglue from dollar store over the opening. Will stop both from progressing and eventually irritating the coral.

Where in picture you see possible hydroid ? I can't see it .
And in that thread I shared about " acro burrowing worm" above someone said gluing over hole didnt work as just burrowed another hole out of coral.

A pest in the ocean is food for another. We lack the control of this.

Frag off the worms sadly. :( they are causing issues.
So just get some bone cutters and cut the little nubs off where the worm coming out the end you mean ?
These are my first 2 sps test frags so no experience whatsoever with sps and defo not fragging .
The nubs like stick out 10- 15 cm at most so cut it off completely hoping the worm inside the bit I cut off I take it all I have to do and is there anything else I need do after ?
I got no iodine or even coral rx as I use nt labs coral dip .
And another question to you all if I may.when I seen this green slimer in lfs I seen white edges on the nubs growing from main stalk and thought was new growth .am I right in thinking its new growth or is it dead tissue maybe ?

Ok here a better video that just finished uploading from YouTube and to keep put mibu build thread @najer I looked up barnacles in sps and read few threads and in one it said browned out around opening which mine seems to have done ever so slightly so if it is a barnacle would I leave it in or dig it out or cut off the 2 nubs where these 2 tentacles are coming from or take back to lfs tommorrow and swap for another frag if they allow this if ring up tommorrow morning as just found out they open Sundays also ?

So if cut a branch off this sps with the possible worm in it or barnacle or whatever it is.even if all of the worm/ barnacle is inside the piece I cut off and throw away in bin ,it still can return ?
Is this because it could of laid eggs or something like this ? And another worm/ barnacle re- grows ?

Ok one more video just because it finished uploading and why not ^_^
Looks like in this video I can see at least 4 brown holes so possible 4 these buggers inside the coral so if cut all these nubs left then I'm basically left with 0 coral lol

I would take loads of pics and watch, sps seem to keep up with any growth and ime never really caused issues.

If they can not be identified correctly how can they be condemned to the bad for the system category I myself prefer diversity in my system rather than the kill everything philosophy .
