Testing Procedure: When Lights On or Lights Off

So lately I have been testing daily cause I am doing the Vodka/MB7 Regime. My numbers are fairly the same daily, but also thought it could vary depending on when I test.

My question is:

When is the best time to test?

Currently, I test between 11am and 3pm. Most of the time at noon. I get same numbers, but was wondering would my results change should I test when my lights are on?

With the exception of pH, none of your parameters are likely to change with time (within a day of time, that is).

If only there were some way to find out . . .

I test with the lights on. I do this so i can see the testing kit and see what I am doing. Even though I know there's some of us that test so much that they could probably test in total darkness.

I know my kh is slightly lower in the morning than the evening after the calcium reactor has run all day. Ph is definately lower in the morning. I test every Saturday morning after the lights have been on for about three hours.

good idea, maybe I will try in the evening and see what happens as my numbers stay the same every week just about.

the key is testing at roughly the same time each day, that way if a number like pH is shifting you catch it in the same spot each time when you test

I generally test in the evenings around 8-10pm. I picked other, actinics since that is what is on then. MH go off at 8pm.
