not really. If they are calcareous spirals, they are spirorbid worms, not feather dusters, but filter feeders. They're harmless, but unfortunately, will grow on anything and everything and you will never be rid of them. Come to terms with that now. I've been losing the fight with them for nearly a year now. They're covering the glass, rocks, powerheads, coral skeletons, and my clams.
