Hey Junior,

That is not the waste line for the RO, that is the return line for the RO. I have a spectra pure auto top-off (you can see a black box next to the other thing), the other thing is just extra security. It shuts down the R.O. incase the Spectra pure fails.

Always have to have a back up : )
