Hey everyone,

Here is my new system since I have downsized. I am still working on my display and will post pics in a couple weeks once it is totally done.

Here is the system description:

Display tank
:

30X30X24 rimless starfire 3 sides external overflow. Tank was built by AO.

Stand: steel tube powder coated. 3" toe kick on bottom. Will be wrapped in Black star board with removable panels.

Lights : giessemann infinity 24" 250 watt halide with 4 t-5 actinics
Light controller: Profilux light II with view display and moonlight
Giesemann Fan 3 fan
2 wavy sea for returns

2 vortec MP40 wireless for circulation Battery back up underneath tank for vortecs.
Drains are (2) 2" in the external overflow and run through the floor to my garage. Dorso stand pipes in overflow.

Filtration ( in my garage) runs frag tank and display tank.

Skimmer Deltec AP 702
Calcium reactor Shruran pico( I have 2 but only 1 is hooked up at the moment)
Profilux standalone doser with add on doser
PM phosphate remover reactor
(2) teco t-20 chillers with heaters and 1 has a UV
Pump: Sequence Manta Ray
75 gallon per day RO unit

Frag tank:

Glass cages 36" X 48" X 12"
Stand Steel tube powder coated
Sfiligoi Xenus Wavemaker
sfiligio (2) 400 Watt halides with (4) t-5 actinics
Moonlight
a few powerheads for circulation

Refugium:


In sump 18 gallon plastic tub
Lights (4) t-5

Sump:
90 gallon perfecto tank

I think this covers everything for now

That's a sweet looking tank Mike. How long did AO take to build it, if you don't mind me asking? Everyone I asked so far seems to tell me that they take forever. :xd:

Ya it took forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And to boot it came in with scratches that I am going to have to buff out. I was ticked for the price I payed!

Yikes. I also heard that they do not even respond to msgs for months till the tank is done, lol. That definitely does it, I'll look into some other builders.

wow... awesome tank... looking forward to seeing this in full force... from the equipment used, I'm sure the coral selection will be top notch... :)

Wow, I've seen some really nice GC tanks lately.
Nice setup, How do you like the Teco chiller?

The display is an AO tank the frag tank is a GC

I LOVE the teco chillers, there is 2 on my system, you can't see the other one it is under the frag tank stand. Never had any problems with them!!!!!!!

That is a 1 1/2" for drain for the frag system. It runs along the wall then ties into the 2 drains from my display and the drain for the skimmer.

The line on the top is the 1 1/2" return line for everything.

What kind of warranty did the AO tank come with? (Your tank looks braceless/rimless, Is it?)
As far as looks are concerned IMO they are right up there with Elos. In the past, They have had issues with seams coming apart on larger tanks.

Just wondering because I'm planning an upgrade in the next year or so, Almost have my mind set on an AGE *but* have considered AO as well.
