Still no daylights?

No worries! I am all about showing off this piece. Im at the warehouse right now and its daytime :) I'll snap a few pics and get em up. I agree fsu1dolfan this chalice rocks under LEDs but then again what doesn't. Its such a cool way to show corals off at night.

btw, Thanks everyone! We tried and continue to try hard to get this piece happy. It has been a long road but I'm sure it will be amazing to see it grow out. I will no doubt update with growth progression shots once it gives me the chance!

just a heads up all: we don't allow hype threads here on R2R.

Kris hasn't done anything of the sort, but if we add comments in about how we want to buy one- it can give off the appearance of a 'hype' thread without that being the intention. I've edited a few of your posts, please don't take it that you've done something horrible, we just want to keep things 'clean' so that people feel welcome to share their nice looking pieces without worrying about getting in trouble for 'hype'.

Cheers.

p.s. Kris- again, nice piece!

I don't sell any frags of any of my corals so there is no selling hype. When it is ready to be shared I will use it as the best trade bait. So the only way your getting it is if you show me some chalice that is on fire :) I think its an amazing chalice and I wanted a proper place to show off and chart the growth progression. And you guys know I really am going to chart the growth of this thing. Its so beautiful I thought it deserved its own thread. I like the name and I'm glad everyone else likes it too :)

Now back to taking these photos, so many distractions here at the warehouse lol

This frag has been is very low light and higher flow right next to the Tunze. I'm surprised I got a good shot of it usually I can't get good pics of those shaded ones.

What are the frags glued to, cut fiber glass/acrylic?

We grow our corals on acrylic so that if there are aiptasias etc we can just wipe them off with a thumb. Sometimes it takes a while before the corals grow onto the acrylic. Over time I will only grow corals on acrylic, no more live rock in my coral tanks or even frag plugs. My live rock is plumbed elsewhere. This is how I give the smallest frags I get real attention and make sure they live.

And look at how awesome it still is!I cant wait to see the colony of it later on!Love it Kris!

Hahaha thanks! Yes imagine when it looks healthy like that Ryans Rockin Watermelon
