It's looking like a split to me. Been about a week like this so far. Interesting creatures.

Is this a common thing when they split? I have a wall hammer that I bought as my first euphyllia (now a euphyllia nutcase). Those green tentacles and purple tips are so dang cool!
 
Not super common, I don't believe. Common enough that there are plenty of threads throughout the years of similar cases.
