The Miracle Tank

Which tang?

I would personally run a separate fuge. In all but the largest sumps, the fuge is too small to be a great deal of benefit unless you just want to grow chaeto and nothing else.
I agree with this. I heard this long ago, when I had my 75 gallon. I added a 30 gallon DIY refugium behind the stand (stocked it with caulerpa - lighted 24-7 with standard grow light tubes) and the tank really flourished after about six months of that being online.

It was hard to get pictures of since it was in a narrow space behind the tank, but this is the best I have of the remote refugium after it had matured.

BOO.. pretty quiet here today how's everybody doing?
Doing good, rocks have been in salt water in the brute can since Friday. New patio table is almost finished, just need some trim boards and some poly. New job starts tomorrow, so getting everything ready and in one place so I don't forget anything important in the morning.

Finally sitting down after a really busy day. Fish and coral order from LA arrived this morning. It was challenging trying to acclimate fish and dip corals between online meetings . Purple fire fish was doa. :( Damsels and royal gramma seem to be healthy and doing ok in observation tank. I have no idea what corals I got in my divers-den 3-pack.
