They should recognize the difference between the dung of a black bear and a grizzly. Black bear dung is smaller and contains berries. Grizzly bear dung has little bells in it.

Nobody knows what that means but it gets attention and makes you sound important. It also shows how disconnected everyone is from the topic at hand and how we are not ready to have this conversation. This conversation is going to hurt, it is going to be painful, and both sides need to yield for change to happen.

Most importantly this isn't a political issue. This isn't a lack of leadership. This is learned because we are not born with racism in our heads. It is learned. It is taught. Behaviorism. Doesn't mean the police don't have to change policies or procedures or demilitarised equipment wise. But it also doesn't mean they are defunded based on a knee jerk reaction. We have been down this path before with similar situations or incidents to include previous leadership and all that happens is the can continues to be kicked down the legislative branch terms...

Side note - Japan's police force do not carry guns. Less violent crimes. But....they still have a moral compass and family values.

Edit: You does not mean "you - or anyone on this forum" - just a "you" in general as we the people.
