There is a winery along the American River in California. Bogle I believe. Anyway they had this box under an eve and I never could figure out what it was yet I heard something in there rustling around. Anyway one day they forgot to clean up under it and I caught a smell so asked about it. They said they built the nesting box for the local bats. Helps control the insects around their vineyard.

I was like cool. Works for me.

I have the next 6 days off of work, the plan for the past month now is to build a couple bat houses with my daughter for mine and my father's houses.

This is not funny. I was traumatized as a very young child when my parents brought me to see The Birds at the drive in. I can still remember sitting in my kiddie pool a couple of days later and a bunch of black birds settled on the clothesline above my head. I may have peed in the water. LOL!

Looks fun. Everyone seems happy and the dogs get to play in the water :D

108 or 109 here today in Northern California. So I didn't get much done honestly. I wanted to do some new lights in the garage but ended up running my better half into work as the unit was very busy with sick kiddo's. Took the first part of the early morning then to clean up what I can without starting anything major.

Due to the heat the water storage container I use to pre-mix new salt was too hot. I moved a 20 gallon spare into the house near the tank. I then proceeded to make 20 trips back and forth to fill it up using a 1 gallon container. Probably not the smartest idea but at least it should match the tank better tomorrow when I'm ready to do the change.

One thing I've learned is that I still haven't fully recovered from the hip surgery. Ran out of stamina too quick I guess. I'll need to get back to some strengthening and basic cardio. I would hate to be that last person running away should Godzilla pass through our neighbourhood. Surely I'd get it :)

Pretty photos. The clam should be reef tank food :)
