Another question. Dentil moulding on the stand and canopy? That's the way I'm leaning. I will line it up exactly on both. OR dentil on just the canopy? What do y'all think?

yes 2 coats primer too much ,recommend 2 finish though ,what color are you pt inside stand

On the mantle. Yes. It's a larger scale than would be appropriate on 30", but will replicate in the same room.
