Actually, my daughters project for her photography class. Had to create a scene from multiple photos. I think this is from 4 photos, and one of my husband(the happy hunter) and her predator figure that’s about 3 inches tall:p

As @dieselkeeper said, there are different kinds. Don’t think exposing to air matters (or at least not for all types). Definitely try to get a species from Australia, not from Indonesia (i love mine but oh my is it finicky!). Even if you only end up “renting” for 6 months, definitely worth it imo.

mine has been in the tank for about a year now.

I am not allowed to get anymore nems. We have 11 now lol. Only allowed to get graciliria, sea lettuce, and snails. Well, I have a minnow trap setup that I hope to catch a ton of small blennies in, but we shall see on that.
