When you mentioned that you had coral that didn't survive, we were asking what kind of corals that you had because different types of corals have different requirements for lighting, water conditions, etc.

Last year, @Seawitch put together a great list of acronyms and abbreviations where you will find a lot of information including the fact that SPS coral is short for "Small Polyp Stony Coral".

I am sorry for your frustration and for the loss of fish and corals as well. I encourage you to read as much as you can about setting up a saltwater reef aquarium and continue to learn about water quality which is probably the most important thing in fish keeping and reef keeping. Good luck!
