Here’s my $.02:
Urchins are a good call. Kalk paste is also a winner. And weirdly enough one half of my live rock wants to growth this stuff and the other half -nothing. The half that wants to grow was getting ignored by the urchins - until I did some kalk paste. Then it’s almost like they could smell the decomposing algae and have totally cleared what the kalk didn’t kill it in the last couple days. So odd.
I will get a pic up later of the cleared rock. The kalk paste just goes into a 50mL irrigation syringe with 1 spoonful of kalk - applied to rocks with pumps off for an hour or so.
