It would be best to get 2 of these for a 48 inch tank, correct? also do you still need to get the controller, or do you not need it anymore because of the wifi capability?

Thanks
Keith

WiFi, no need for the controller anymore. It's app controlled. You could get away with 1 on the 48" tank but two would be better.

It looks like it's basically the same light just wifi instead of on the controller, right @noopsyche ?
Right.
The power supply are more heat-resistant and high-temperature resistant metal materials are used. The heat dissipation system of the concave and convex design increases the heat dissipation surface.
For the design of the app we follow practicality and simplicity. Adjustments can be made for each channel at different times. It can also be set to be turned on and off multiple time points.

Interesting.
I'm looking forward to seeing review on how people like the upgrade!

Same. I hope someone does it soon as i really like the spectrum and par of the previous version, but decided not to go with them because of no wifi(and specifically master/slave or ability to load saved profiles) and because the power supplies get hotter than the surface of the sun.

Sounds like both of those concerns may be addressed, but i am looking to buy 10 to 12 lights soon and want to make sure the app dont have any major issues before i go with these.

You don't need to buy the $39 controller anymore. You can download the App to control Noo-Psyche coral lights.

I've been really really happy with my K7 v3. This is absolutely within my upgrade path especially when I move into a larger house and invest in a much larger tank than my 30g. My biggest gripe with these lights was the controller not being the most intuitive, but an app is exactly what I want. Well done Noopsyche

How many of these would be suggested for a 60x24x24 mixed reef? Also are the brackets for these compatible with a eurobraced tank?

I'm guessing that the bracket is the same. Mine just won't squeeze over the rim. As for coverage I'd consider using 3 at a minimum - 4 or 5 would be better for shadows.

For 60x24x24 mixed, 3 of K7 PRO III are recommended for the long side of tank
