My girl still freaks out every so often, I wouldn’t worry too much I find this species to be known for doing the jolting more than others.
This is in no way a good photo (This is the only wrasse that refuses to be photoed) but it shows her colour!

Yep!
I don’t understand why she loves the top corner behind the water outlet. I assume she hits the sand in the night but I rarely see her near it in the day.

Arrived alive! Fingers crossed acclimation goes well. I opened the bag of the yasha briefly and the salinity was 1.025 (!!). I was already lowering my tank slowly to get to 1.024 so that I could raise them from 1.021 to 1.024. My tank is now at 1.025. If the other bags are this salinity, looks like it will be a quicker acclimation.

Sorry, I have the lights off in the office for box opening, so there's mostly blues coming from the tank in the back.

Folks, not doing well. I noticed that the M. bipartitis was upside down in the bag. Was more or less done with floating, so I quickly opened the bag. Salinity 1.015sg. I immediately dropped salinity in the bucket to 1.015 and got her in the bucket.

She has been laying upside down and occasionally swimming erratically. Videos below. Do any of you know what I should do?

I have a couple of additional videos that are still uploading. Will post in a bit.

Aside from that, the Yasha arrived at 1.025sg (in the tank already, under a rock), and the court jester arrived at 1.017sg. The Court Jester was in a bag with another fish (presumably another court jester) that was a rotting corpse. No idea how the live court jester survived. Once I noticed that, I got the Court Jester out and right into the bucket with the wrasse--just grabbed him without any of the nasty water. It seems to be alive and moving in the bucket. M. bipartitis is mostly laying on its back and occasionally moving to swim.


Advice very much appreciated!

On the long one, between 0:26 and 0.27, it looks like the lower jaw is crooked. Injury from travel?

I would agree, the lower jaw does not look quite right. The odd swimming behavior looks to be low oxygen(bobbing at the surface).

Any kind of bubbler or PH in that bucket?

These fish just do not ship very well.

I have often found most wrasses also do not like prazipro, they always seem to bob at the surface when I introduce prazi.

Not sure if your planning on medicating or not.

Also just for an FWIW, most fish will act weird in a stark white bucket. No idea why, just something i have found over the years. I stopped using buckets for TTM when I used to do that, and switched to 10G tanks. The fish just acted completely different in the tank with a little more room to swim around.

In principle, the fish should already have been fully medicated and behaving/eating normally--Dr. Reef Quarantined Fish.

Maybe I can set up a hospital tank in the future for this type of thing--it is an office, so I can't go overboard making it a fish room.
