Wrasse lovers , plz tell me ur trick to not let them jump out ??
I know there is mesh screen to cover the top , but my tank is bow front and it will be hassle to do that , here us my last one jump carpenter wrasse .and yellow head before with mccokers .

You just have to decide which is the bigger hassle, figuring out a screen top or having jumpers. When I had a corner tank I found that using the front of the glass top for the curved part and making a screen top for the rest of the tank worked pretty well.

Don't use egg-crate because they fit thru those holes too. I need a screen top!!! What kind of wrasse was that? Before he dried up on the rug?

Yup. You need a 1/4" mesh top. Anything else with larger holes if nearly futile. If the head fits, the fish fits.

Personally, I dislike the look of a canopy, and relying on them for "jump protection" still has it's risks. You find stories of injured fish from various sharp edges in a canopy, or worse - fried fish which end up on a light cover.

A 1/4" mesh top which fits tightly into the tank trim or is else wise fastened to the tank is pretty hard to beat.

None of my 25 wrasses have jumped out in years.. But IMO a well built and designed canopy is better than looking at hanging lights. Large tanks especially need canopies. Just my .02

Would I have any issues adding a Mystery Wrasse with my current wrasse stock list which includes a Lubbocks, Red Headed Solon, and Melenarus? He would be the last wrasse added to the tank.

Any tips on getting a black background like this besides high f-stop and flash? How do you keep the flash from reflecting?

They always stay together too

Pseudojuloides cerasinus. You have 2 males. They are haremic in the wild. Though they are swimming together now they will likely spend less time together.
