They are one of the more fiesty fairy wrasses, although so far mine is getting along great with the cebu lubbocki, pintail, rhomboid, and bathyphilus. Also in with a bunch of other planktivores (green chromis, orangeline chromis, royal gramma, firefish, fathead anthias, fourmanoiri tilefish) and with other fish including 2 Halichoeres wrasses (timor and radiant) without issue. Feeding the tank heavily I see no aggression between the fish, and the newly described rosey scaled, the rhomboid, and the bathyphilus were all added as the last fish to the display at the same time. Hopefully they continue to get along as they grow (all female now).

Better show pictures when she transitions! Then we’ll know which species it actually is.
From my understanding, differences between the females are very hard to spot if they’re even there so you probably won’t be able to tell unless C. rubrisquamis isn’t from the Maldives.

Earlei's are beautiful. But I've never had a wrasse that wanted to jump more than him. However can understand it being a deepwater species. So my advice based on my guy is have a good fitting lid...and watch when cleaning your tank.

Beautiful fish and the personality is second to none. One of my favorites.

My advice with any wrasse is treat it like a tilefish, they will jump if given the chance.

This girl is really growing on me, she’s about 1.25-1.5 inch now and beautiful! Constantly eating and loves mysis/brine.

Cant wait to see her mature female colours come in.
This guy reminds me of the rarer version of a Kwazulu fairy. They’re so similar and a “newer” wrasse (Officially named in 2008).

they’re basically green tinted blue star Leopard wrasse

All of my wrasses love nori but my Earl's is willing to get in there with the tangs for what was between the clips jaws. :D

Is this lympho on my hooded flame? I think it is but never personally seen it on a wrasse before. Feeding mysis with Selcon and garlic. Getting smaller. Came from the seller that way .

You should rename it to something like the green beast, it’s actually a Halichoeres chloropterus (same as what I have) but juvenile. Be warned aggression comes with age and they’re only nice as juveniles.

I love my 4 inch guy though! Wish he transitioned quicker but guess not every wish comes true haha.
I’ll get some photos of him later since he isn’t out right now.

My new wrasse settled in yesterday, a carpenter's and filamented flasher wrasse, an exquisite wrasse and a blue star leopard wrasse. Introduced them all at the same time and the confusion is working perfectly <3 no territorial behaviour yet :D
