They'll turn around and look at their own tail fins when something is irritating them. Sometimes it's nothing more than an itch, but sometimes it's the early signs of ich on a wrasse. Are they still doing this today? Have you noticed them flashing or scratching themselves on the rocks?
Verdict was melanarus on the main forum! He's a great worker and looks amazing so im happy

I started dosing ployplab reef safe medic yesterday but it doesn't seem to be dissolving. I've been adding it per directions.
I've already lost a clown goby, clown fish, anthiese and 2 dart fish this week.
Water test all look normal ( but they are the API test...I know)
Salinaty is at .27
All the corals looks fine but not the fish.
Definitely a Halichoeres but which species labelled as “Melanurus” is hard to tell - Any white light pictures?
What causes this?
Anything, ich, brook and velvet can all lay dormant on coral frags. There’s no 100% way of keeping disease out of a tank unless you quarantine EVERYTHING for several months.

To me, this fish looks like it has flukes, along with secondary bacterial infection. It may have either brooklynella or velvet as well, hard to see with these very blue pics. I would pull all fish, bathe in Ruby Reef Rally Pro, then transfer to quarantine for treatment with copper sulfate and praziquantel (I've had no issues using prazipro and cupramine together in the past). It will not, but if this fish has velvet or ich as well (hard to tell with these pics), it will help with that.
This is the whitest I could get at the moment haha
