Thank you, yes I was aware that they are more aggressive. Which is a good thing since I have some more aggressive fish that would’ve gave a peaceful fish a hard time.

Usually fairy and flasher wrasses go under the radar of larger guys such as tangs, actually most wrasses will be avoided by tangs as they don’t really share a similar ground. Obviously wrasses are only semi aggressive/aggressive when established, when they first go in they have no territory to fight for so they won’t really have a reason to get aggressive straight away.

When I first introduced it my purple tang and exquisite wrasse were showing some signs of aggression towards it.
I did place it in an acclimation box yesterday however one of the kids chose to play with the box and cause it to fall, freeing the wrasse. As of now they are all behaving well with each other.

The exquisite will eventually submit to the blue throat and drop to the bottom of the wrasse hierarchy, the PT will probably just ignore him after maybe 1-2 chases.

Okay I have a question for you all to answer. I did do a search and went through 8 pages and didn't find an answer. I have vermiculate divided leopard wrasse and a radiant wrasse being delivered from @tsmaquatics on Friday. I have Special Grade sand. Is that too coarse for them or do I need to add Fiji Pink sand?

I drive to Rowan U and U of Delaware to pick up my boys from school. But it is usually on Friday evenings or Sunday afternoon. They are closed at those times. It was set to be delivered this Friday. As of this morning I added to the order a purple firefish which will be done with treatment on 5/17 and the shipment will go out on 5/18.

I have had experience with 3 from the complex lubbocki, my current two Lubbock’s and the marjories, between the three they are extremely similar in behaviour and the rest of their care is essentially the same. They stay on the smaller side, similar in size to what the Indonesian C. lubbocki gets (Around 2.5 inches).

They have a mind like an undulatus. It won't hide for long.

Tried looking there but I do see her come out on the tank every now and then. I wish my tang and flame angel weren’t such jerks to new additions cause they just want to explore the tank but they have enough hiding spaces to retreat if they need to

Once the mystery gets territory then you’ll see a change in the behaviour.

Tangs are just being tangs… I now stick with Ctenochaetus after dealing with several other species of tang.

You think they’ll eventually accept the wrasse? I’ve never had one of these before so I’m not sure how it’ll play out
