It’s the same here, the guy at my further away LFS loves me for the knowledge but then laughs at me being so picky even though I love them all.

He’s going to be in for a shock soon as one of the fish I swore against a couple years back is high on my list for what I may be grabbing hold of (unfortunately it’s not a wrasse - although I do have wrasses on the list of fish I want to pick up in the new year).

It’s the same here, the guy at my further away LFS loves me for the knowledge but then laughs at me being so picky even though I love them all.

He’s going to be in for a shock soon as one of the fish I swore against a couple years back is high on my list for what I may be grabbing hold of (unfortunately it’s not a wrasse - although I do have wrasses on the list of fish I want to pick up in the new year).

The fish I’m likely to grab rather soon is for my 4’ tank, the nano is the one I plan to grab a couple more wrasses for.

Do you know why?

Why it died? I can give a list of maybes
They ship across the world in small bags with little water and air
Stress
Getting thrown and dropped
And main one in my eyes when stressed parasites can get an upper hold of them. The first two died after collection but before shipping. I think that might say fish have internal parasites in that area.

Any thoughts on if a shutmani would fit if it was the last fish in the tank? I need something for activity with an aim to stick to the wrasses.

Shutmani in your 3' tank? Too shallow. I put a small brunneus in my shallow 20 long for observation and he jumped during tank maintenance within 3 wks of having him in there. I knew better and it ended in his death. Shallow tanks and fairies don't mix. If you're fortunate enough to get a shutmani put him in the 4' tank so you can really see that gorgeous red coloration.
