Does anyone here have any tips or tricks for taking decent photos on an iPhone? Are there any settings to try or anything like that (beyond using the clip on filters) do you need a “real” camera set up? I really want to be able to take better photographs you see posted here!

I think you can go into settings/camera and then set to raw which will bump it from 12 mp to 48 mp. This fish is fully mature, terminal male, so he likely lives 3 years in the buyer's tank, if there is optimal in conditions and no mishaps. That means about 1000+ per year or about 3 dollars per day to have a glance or two at him. Too rich for my blood. Sorry, there is no way I shell out 3000.00 dollars for him. That is under the best-case scenario. Likely he is older and if that is the case, he may have a shorter life and would cost a lot more per glance at him.I can’t believe how much this thing is :rolleyes:
Need to block views and start to sell tickets quickly if he ever come into my tank.

Interesting. I looked into the raw photo setting and found out that I do not have it on my iPhone 13, but iPhone pro models do have it.
From some quick reading, it seems iPhone users (at least with the recent-ish models) with non-pro models can still take raw photos, but you have to use a third party photo app like Lightroom. Might be worth a try.

every so often I put a photo of a wrasse into Google just to see what it comes up with and that’s one of the best so far haha.

I’d be willing to trade my Netflix subscription for this fish, I think. But $3 a day is definitely not in the budget.
$10 per month x 36 months (life expectancy)= $360 I might be willing to pay.
Might be willing to go to $12.99 a month x 36 month = ~$500 as long as the fish swims in high definition :D

I was tempted by the twistii at my LFS but I think if I do get a second I want either Chrysocephalus, femininus, lennardi, or neoguinaicus. Or because of my budget and Hawaii ban neoguinaicus.
