Well its still far far prettier then my other halichoeres. Though I guess that might be because its an older male than my others.

So my MEL is MIA atm. I wouldn’t be worried, but last night I had to turn off the return because the ato failed :rolleyes:, and the water level was just at the rim of the two nozzle holes of the return pipe in the tank….so, hopeful that it’s not in there. Its probably in the sand and I’m stressing for no reason, I know Halichoeres can be at times sporadic w/ waking up times, but since he’s been up usually as soon as the lights go on, I’m a little concerned. Worst thing is I’m going out of town today and come back Tommorrow night, so I wont be able to address his situation until 36 hours from now. Wrasse are so weird lol, they get in everything. Fingers crossed it decided to sleep in today…what do you guys think?

So far very peaceful and luckily it’s too big for the Timor to try anything against it.
Also the xeno looks happier and is out in th open more.

Yep. I had similiar with mine like a month in. Went to the LFS in the afternoon and they told me it was just sleeping in. I didn't believe them but guess who was out when I got home. My coris wrasse regularly skips days.

Same here with the corris. Mine is the "tank boss", but often times I'll have to ask the wife if she has seen it. It'll go days without coming out except in the AM to get the auto feeder, often times skipping his evening dinner.

Finally got some in focus with flash off. It is weird how different it looks with and without flash photography. Whats best is I've now seen it swim with the Xeno and the Xeno swim with the timor. It seems all is quiet on the eastern front (which is the side of the tank the xeno enjoys ;) )

That wrasse is not shabby at all. I would be happy with it!

Feeling a little down. I saw the cutest little leopard at my LFS earlier today. She was active, eating, and quite photogenic. Also a reasonable $70.

It hurt to have to walk away from her, but the leopard seat in my home is reserved for a Vivien’s.

I really was tempted. But I’ve had leopards in the past, and the nice little sleeping box I have being made is probably only sized for one fish (it’s about 6”x5”x3”) So I figured it’d be best to just focus on getting/caring for a Vivien for the first time.

On the bright side, leopards have no problem finding a new home. So I’m sure that cute little guy will have a new house soon.

So you have a bare bottom tank? That box would support two leopards no problem imo. Nothing wrong with getting a vivien settled in first though. There will be plenty more leopards down the road.
