The Wrasse Lover's Thread!

Very accurate! My two do this as well, I love watching them feed and they’re so much braver now, they don’t hide when I’m near the tank even close to how often they did a few months ago.
Hopefully mine will live for 3-5 years as I’ve seen some others keep them for years.
I will get another one someday

Might need to get one. My old man (who loves wrasses) might find comfort and connection with a fish that looks like he saw some things in Vietnam lol
Ty for his service!

My #1 wrasse, C. rubeus, seems like there's one for sale in the world and it's at LA:
But it's a med size male :-(
Pretty fish. You can’t get everything female. I would enjoy that fish for 3 years at $59.

Think a transitioned male would live that long? My understanding is it's hard to tell how old they are when they're male. But I do have the understanding of a child that just learned complete sentences when it comes to wrasses, though.

Does anyone know what type of star this is? Came in to my LFS as an assorted wrasse.

You never know. I think if that was at my lfs and healthy I might try it.

A gorgeous female Xenojulis margaritaceus - Gold Nugget Wrasse. I need an updated photo of mine, people who got them last year don’t seem to have photos of them anymore.

So seeing as we have successfully done a ranking of the Paracheilinus species, let’s try the Cirrhilabrus! Let’s start off with an exquisite one, literally!

It is. Was only $30 just cause we didn't know what it is. Everyone's saying looks like a dragon so it might have dragon characteristics but I'm thinking more leopard in some way.
Exact same price I got mine at!
Love my boy and yes they will more than likely transition :)

Thug possum wrasse was looking to show his wr-butt-e this morning but couldn’t find the tomini tang. He decided he’d tough talk Mr. Pink Streak who was like “you gotta chill out man.”

Your possum wrasse cracks me up every time! So little yet so much attitude and sass lol

These wrasses truly do have a personality on them. My royal gramma was doing his act tough and opening his mouth real wide at my yellow coris. The yellow coris didn’t even care one bit and kept swimming around my royal gramma to get him going, made me laugh a bit
