The Wrasse Lover's Thread!

Was she a biota as well?

Get the lion out and get a true dwarf instead.
Yep
My most expensive fish. Though they’ve now lowered the price.

Yeah the lionfish is imprisoned until I go to the LFS. I ordered a dwarf but a certain online store can’t tell a seahorse from a horse and sent me the completely wrong species.

I suppose first question is how nice are your clowns? Possum or a pinkie maybe if your clowns won't bother them? Or get a possum like @jkcoral and it will run the tank.
This is a great question, I have no idea how nice they are since they're currently the only fish in the tank (wrong order, I know). I've settled into the idea that I may not be able to add anything else since I got them first, just wanted to get some ideas the clowns are very small black storms, about 1-1.5"

My little gangster is just built different haha.

@robotrash pink streak or a possum (at least in a tank that size). Pink streaks are pretty. And possums are… odd looking… but really interesting little guys.

Both are small, docile, and easily bullied. If someone picks on them, they are in real trouble. That being said, they are often so small and peculiar that every fish I’ve owned over the decades pretty much ignore them/act like they don’t exist. If your clowns are laying eggs and all amped up, just be careful and make sure they don’t attack the newcomer.

I actually really like the possums, seems folks have issues with feeding/shyness of them more-so than pink streak, does that sound right?

Well on the bright side I did finally get my new camera lens with the high powered macro. Wasn't great lighting and most of my wrasse were asleep but:

What species is that second one? I'm new to wrasse but I absolutely love them. Got a shop about 90 min from me that specializes in them.

Blue star leopard wrasse, Macropharyngodon bipartitus/marisrubri

Beautiful fish, thanks!
Leopard wrasse are all phenomenal. I’d also consider the white, M meleagris and the black, M negrosensis

Details on the lens. Did you go with B&H?
Its the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM. Was using the Canon EF-s 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS STM lens. Or to put it simply. I switched from a lens great at taking pictures of things very far away to one that takes really good close range photos.

I did not use B&H because I went with refurbished instead. Saved a few hundred.

What kind of wrasse is this? Store has it on tank as. Lyre tail Lunar Wrasse. But I have not seen one with this color and the two spots. One is on the dorsal fin one on the tail. Face looks like a lunar.
