Small? Any earmuffs?
Not sure. Order is being placed and Madagascar can take forever to arrive. Flights out for them is hard. I’m hoping for one of them being tiny.
Why you want a nice male for your little girl

Yes, I see the problem: "slowly".
And only 2 in the box

i cant think

Yeah I am a sucker for wrasses, I want to get a maybe 6-7 fairy/flashers in this 200 gallon.
Only 6-7? I have a minimum of 11 altogether in a 5’ 180G.
Planning for 15-18 again.

so i ordered a yellow chrysus for my 75g. But it looks like the seller is sending two (due to them being poor shippers). If both survive, are they going to be able to coexist? I know different species are probably ok, but in the case of identical species does one dominate over time?

In a 75 you might have a problem down the line. The bigger one will probably go male pretty fast. The smaller one will transition slower but often times wrasse do transition eventually.

Sounds like I’ll have to watch them closely and maybe donate one to a local reefer or the LFS..

But I suspect I should be able to add another species such as a melanurus or mccosker’s flasher?

So far I have a pair of eightline flashers coming in. Really like how the males look so I hope these make it through shipping.

Was thinking of getting a Cirrhilabrus lubbocki, Cirrhilabrus cyanogularis and Cirrhilabrus aurantidorsalis next year.

Any other recommendations?? I am open to any wrasse that's reef safe and known to not be poo poo heads.

Once the tank matures I really want to try for a leopard. Pods are slowly seeding and I have a brine hatchery going as well.

I don’t see how people say they are poor shippers. If they box good and shipper doesn’t mess up they ship good.
This sounds like dr reef but he mostly can even get fish boxed

Never hurts to wait but no need to wait. Dump some pods and add amphipods as they are bigger and the favorite for wrasse.
This little girl was dumped in the tank same day it was started. She just woke up very hungry

Question. Are yellow Cori’s wrasse. Young. Particularly shy? Feel like mine is out once in a while and I’ve had him over a month. Don’t always seem the guy eat. Sometimes worry.

Other tank mates? Long time to be shy but possible. I’m think someone or something is keeping him shy

How long have you had her? I've had mine for a while now, and she's still a bit skittish. Nothing to bother her in the tank, just me. Took her a long time to come to the front of the tank and hang around while I was there. I have my tank set up so there's plenty of space behind the rocks for the fish to hang out if they don't want to be seen.
